Admissions

If you are interested in enrolling your child for the next school year, you will need to:

1. Complete the Inquiry Form to let us know you are interested in applying, if possible before March 1.
2. After receiving the Application Packet from Zion Academy, complete the Application for Enrollment form for each student applying. Send the form and the $25 Family Application Fee to Zion Academy by postal mail or deliver it by hand to our office by April 1.
3. Provide current School Records from the current school, and from home schooling by April 1. A final Official School Record and Transcript for the current year must be on file before the first day of school at Zion Academy.
4. Copy of the student’s Birth Certificate is required by April 1.
5. Your application will be reviewed and an interview with the principal scheduled. Then a decision will be made.
6. If accepted, pay the Registration Fee by June 1.
7. A record of all immunizations for each child is required to be on file by the first day of school.

Dress Code

Uniforms are required for all students. Overall appearance must be clean and neat with no holes or frayed hems. No items should be excessively large, tight, or skinny and must be worn in a way that underwear or the back is not visible. Uniform shirts shall be tucked in at all times. 

Hair must be cleaned and groomed, of natural hair color, and not in a flamboyant style. Hair should not obstruct the eyes. Boys must be clean shaven, no sideburns below the ear, with hair no more than collar length in the back. Tattoos are not permitted.

Gentlemen may not wear any jewelry unless required for medical reasons. Ladies may only wear small stud earrings and a single short necklace if desired. 

Gentlemen Uniforms Grades K-12:

• Shirt: Solid light blue, navy, white dress shirt or polo.
• Uniform tie: Solid navy or black.
• Sweater: Solid navy, black or white cardigan sweater, V-neck sweater or sweater vest.
• Pants: Solid navy, black, or khaki cotton blend, straight pants or corduroys. No denim.
• Shorts: Solid navy, black, or khaki cotton blend chino uniform shorts. No denim.
• Belt: Optional plain navy or black belt.
• Socks: Navy or black.
• Shoes: Navy, black, or brown dress shoes.

Physical Education Uniforms for Gentlemen and Ladies:

• Shorts: Solid color, loose fitting knee-length athletic shorts. No additional design or slogan except small logo.
• Pants: Solid color loose fitting sweatpants. No additional design or slogan, except small logo.
• Shirt: any solid color T-shirt and / or sweatshirt past the waist. No additional design or slogan except small logo. ZA T-shirt is permitted.
• Socks: Athletic socks.
• Shoes: Athletic sneakers.

Ladies Uniforms Grades K-5:

• Shirt: Solid light blue, navy, or white dress shirt, turtleneck or polo.
• Sweater: Solid navy, black, or white cardigan sweater, V-neck sweater, or sweater vest.
• Jumper: Solid navy, black, khaki, or blue plaid, below the knee when sitting.
• Pants: Solid navy, black, or khaki cotton blend, straight, modest pants. No denim.
• Shorts: Solid navy, black, or khaki cotton blend chino uniform shorts. No denim.
• Sweatpants: Recommended to be worn under jumpers for outdoor activities during cooler months.
• Belt: Optional plain navy or black belt.
• Socks: Solid white or navy socks or tights with a jumper. Navy or black socks with pants.
• Shoes: Navy, black, or brown dress shoes.
• Makeup: No makeup is permissible.
• Nail polish: Must be clear or a light solid color.

Ladies Uniforms Grades 6-12:

• Shirt: Solid light blue, navy, or white dress shirt, turtleneck or polo.
• Sweater: Solid navy, black, or white cardigan sweater, V-neck sweater, or sweater vest.
• Skirt: Solid navy, black, or khaki dress skirt, below the knee when sitting, including any slits.
• Pants: Solid navy, black, or khaki cotton blend, straight modest pants. No denim.
• Shorts: Solid navy, black, or khaki cotton blend chino uniform shorts. No denim.
• Belt: Optional plain navy or black belt.
• Socks: Neutral nylons, solid white or navy tights or knee-high socks with a skirt. Navy or black socks with pants.
• Shoes: Navy, black, or brown dress shoes.
• Makeup: Must be natural.
• Nail polish: Must be clear or a light solid color.
